Welcome to the perimenoparty!

We‘re Melissa and Tiffany, besties and business partners who met through our shared passion for making the world a better place.

We created Opal & Joy after discovering a lack of clean, premium and effective perimenopause products during our own journeys. 

This was our call to action: to use our combined thirty-plus years of experience in the natural products, organic and plant medicine space to help women just like us get targeted relief from their perimenopause symptoms.

We partnered with a functional medicine practitioner in Colorado who specializes in women's health and wellness to formulate our Rest and Relax products, the two sleep supplements that make up our Restorative Sleep System.

Opal & Joy products use organic ingredients where possible, contain no fillers, artificial ingredients, flavors or colors. Nor do they include sugar, a typical ingredient found in gummies, as this can trigger inflammation which goes against our goal of clean, natural products that support your body through perimenopause.

WTF Is Happening to Me

Tiffany’s perimenopausal experience was as bad as it gets. Starting in her late thirties, her acute early perimenopause symptoms included sleep disruptions, anxiety, hot flashes, swollen joints, weight gain, hair loss... You name it, she experienced it. With bells on. We cannot stress enough how bad her symptoms were.

Tiffany visited multiple doctors to find out what was wrong. Even after telling them her symptoms, she was told there was nothing wrong, her test results were normal and that it was all in her head.

Who can relate?

Finally, Tiffany was able to see an endocrinologist who confirmed she was in early perimenopause at 38 years old.

Meanwhile, her bestie Melissa was growing increasingly concerned as she watched her suffer through her symptoms. As an advocate of cannabinoid therapy, Melissa introduced Tiffany to hemp-derived, full-spectrum CBD oil to see if it might alleviate some of the intensity of her symptoms. 

Melissa's decade working in hemp and cannabis media gave her a front-row seat to the growth of cannabinoid science and the role of minor cannabinoids and terpenes in plant medicine. She encouraged Tiffany to try CBD oil, which brought Tiffany relief from her perimenopause symptoms. She could finally sleep, think straight and generally function like a normal person again. Which is very important as she has a demanding career and a busy family. 

This discovery led us to discover a need for premium perimenopause products made from plants that help support women through this milestone.

About Our Products

Using clinically researched ingredients based on the latest white paper studies to demonstrate their efficacy, we have created these innovative science-led, cannabinoid-based perimenopause products using premium and ethical ingredients.

Creating products for women, made by women, was really important to us. So our products were formulated by a female doctor who specializes in women's health, using a proprietary blend of clinically researched hemp science with adaptogenic and Ayurvedic plants.
